My story:

Ordered the new MacBook about three months ago from AppleShop. It was delivered 14 days later. Exactly 3 month after I made the order – but 14 days before it was delivered – I started getting random shut-downs. I called AppleCare to ask what to do about this, but was imidiately told that the 3 month free AppleCare had expired. The Apple-employee thereafter tried to make me to sign-up for 3 year AppleCare at the ‘bargain’ price of 1/3 of the price of a brandnew MacBook. Well-done Apple – that’s great customer-service! The clock apparently start ticking from even before they make/ship the computers.

As I didn’t want to sign-up for the grand AppleCare offer – I was simply told to hand-in the computer at a local repair center (non-Apple). I did this 2 weeks ago and I have heard absolutely nothing since then – I suppose they (including Apple) haven’t got a clue about what’s wrong.

WARNING: Do NOT buy MacBooks just yet – this product should never had been put on the market as it is!!!
