went to the Apple store yesterday….this was an interesting response…

After going to the Apple store yesterday to see if an old iBook G3 that crashed could be fixed under warranty, I started asking some questions to the “Genius” about the whole Macbook debacle. He was hesitant and then said, yeah, “it’s been a real pain, sometimes the heat sink fix works, and sometimes it doesn’t, you know that’s what early adopters will get I guess”…I really wanted to go at it with him, but I am wondering if this is Apple’s stance – with early adoption, there will be bugs? Oh well, just thought I would report it…
oh, and btw, the iBook wasn’t covered – they wanted $300 to replace the logic board. no way. lol
Cheers!

Shame about your iBook.
If Apple expects early adopters to put up with RSS or similar problems every time they release some new product then surely they should sell it at a significantly cheaper price to reflect the experience one will get with a Rev A machine!
