Resetting the RAM did not help

Aftering calling apple support I was told to ‘reset the ram’. I didn’t think this would help but did it anyway. At first my macbook wouldn’t boot, so I reset the ram again. After booting up the random shutdown problem still persists. I’m taking it back to the store this week either for an exchange or a refund, I have yet to decide.
