Being hopeful
UPDATE: 09/28 - repair completed at Aspen Grove Apple Store, parts only took 4 days to arrive. Only been using for a few hours, but so far so good.
ORIGINAL: 09/25 - About 60 days after purchasing my CoreDuo2ghz/1.25GB, the RSS started. Spent a week troubleshooting on my own, then found this (and other) sites on MacBook RSS. Contacted Apple for repair, but in the following week could barely keep it running long enough to perform any backup. Finally in frustration, went to Apple Store (generally a last resort - I don’t care for the stores in any fashion). I raised the biggest stink I could be didn’t get a replacement as some others have reported. I was able to get a commitment from the Manager to expedite the delivery of the repair parts. They hope to get the parts in less than two weeks, instead of the 3-4 weeks or more they are normally quoting.
