There is an article on MacFixIt stating that they “obtained a service document revealing the instructions authorized repair service centers are receiving regarding the issue, and stating that only the heatsink needs to be replaced on afflicted models.”
Check out the article here.

I have read this before, but i dont belive this report, just rumor. Otherwise the right place for the message would have been Apple Website.
I know someone with this newly designed heat sink, the RSS has reoccured on his machine.

also this report suggests that all initial macbooks shipped have been fitted with faulty Heat Sink Units. In that case Apple should issue warning to Macbook owners and ask them to bring the macbooks for immedtate heat Sink unit replacement.
And extend warranty of all the macbooks.

After Random Shutdown I am unable to reboot the Laptop even after trying a number of times.
But immedtately if i try to reboot holding the power button for few seconds the Laptop Boots (i dont know what happens, but there is a loud whistle) but runs quite hot.
I dont think it is Heat Sink or Logic Board or any hardware issue, but them the Macbook should not boot at all.
And that is why i dont think new Heat Sink will solve any problem.

I agree with Macbook owner – after safe boot, all works fine untill next shutdown or long sleep, i think is something in PRAM or something from all firmware updates

Hello! Your Post “Apple service document discusses MacBook sudden shutdowns” is very interesting for me. Unfortunately my written English is not so good so I write in German: Dir, meinem liebsten, geh?rt mein Herz vom Anfang bis zum Ende, in Freude und Schmerz. F?r dich, mein Liebster ist mir nichts zu viel, ob Himmel, ob H?lle, nur du bist mein Ziel. Yours sincerely Briefe Schreiben
