We are on SKY NEWS!

Last night’s Technofile, the techology segment of TV news channel Sky News featured the issue of MacBook Random Shutdowns.

The segment featured an interview with 3 affected MacBook owners:

  • Matthew Swanson from macbookrandomshudown.com over webcam
  • Myself (Ash Matadeen) and
  • Robert Nisbet, Sky News Environment Correspondent who actually had his MacBook shutdown during the interview!

Full details of what was covered in the news available over at The Apple Files.

Technofile (edited version) airs once again on Sky News tomorrow, Thursday 5th October 2006 at 21:45 (British Summer Time).

A couple of days ago i purchased the black macbook and did all the updates as well as the firmware, which has caused some people a lot of problems. I also watch the Sky News and was amazed at how many people where have problems with shut downs.

I havent had the shut down yet, but i guess its still early days yet. Just wondering when im going to get a letter asking me to return the laptop to fix this issue.

I also think Apple did a rush job to get this product out. and didnt do as good as job of testing before going to mass production.
