That is what I plan to tell all 900 of the incoming freshmen college students I see every year. I have never gotten a) such a faulty product and b) such shoddy tech support and c) the ridiculous run around of lies and misinformation. Further, when I spoke to a customer service rep, she insisted there was no way for Apple to compensate me for the 6 months I've owned two different "Crashbooks" and have essentially been without a reliable computer, not to mention DVD player, CD player. Not to mention that this very expensive piece of equipment looks dirty within days of typing on it--a dirt no cleanser seems to take off. I have changed the signature on my email to "Never buy a Mac. Ask me why." I plan to attach that to every outgoing email I send, which includes three newsletters, many to other writers and prospective students. Apple should be ashamed of their heartless greed. All Apple cares about is turning a profit. They fail to see that there are people in world who rely upon computers, whose jobs and livelihoods are at stake when they lose their files, their time.. I'm currently composing a song called "Ode to a Crashbook." Yep. Apple sucks. Never Buy A Mac.

I am on my FOURTH macbook. That's right. Fourth. And this one is going back too. The list of problems? Shutting down in the middle of my work- telling me to "restart my computer" and not giving me a damn option other than that.....shutting down and NOT turning back on- only to have the mac store tell me to take out the battery, unplug it...yadda yadda- um, hello- this is a NEW computer?! What the hell am I doing this for??? Freezing programs...do I seriously need to go on? Anyway. I feel your pain. My suggestion? GIve up. I am. I'm returning my 4th tomorrow and getting something else. And I'll be damned if they're going to charge me a restocking fee...... GOod luck!
