Have had it at the service centre 6 times (1. no problem found, 2. new top case, 3. heat sync, 4. no problem found, 5. new logic board, 6. replaced ram) Spent many hours on the phone to apple (customer relations). Poor service, no help..."you'll need to take it to the service centre" again!!!! I've done the firmware updates etc etc. Time for a replacement machine!!!! I just discovered today that I have to replace the power supply and logic board again. Apple Support has not been supportive. The CD drive won't seen to recognise a double sided CD/DVD disc - in this case The Seger sessions by Bruce Springsteen but it does play on my older white mac book lap top and on all my other cd players. Is this a problem with the new MAC BOOK CD drive technology ? I can't work out a logical reason why this problem should be occuring as the same disc can also be read by my sony vaio which is dual core. Any ideas would be welcome I have a new black Mac book pro lap top.
