I haven't taken it to mac since I know how they work where if you can't reproduce the problem with them there, it's not going to get fixed. What did they end up doing to resolve the problem? It's a known problem and easily fixed. The person on the phone should have known: it's got something to do with a short-circuit and heat-sink paste. I had the same problem with mine, sent it in, and it came back in perfect condition. Haven't had a problem with it since. Runs like a champ and is still the best computer I've ever owned.
