shutdown problem

Hi everybody, I’m a new (desperate) member: I purchased a macbook exactly 20 days ago in Italy, encouraged by everybody to buy apple because of the reliability of the brand, the quality of products and the customer after-sale services.
my macbook has been running strangely hot for a week and, more worrying, when I want to shut it down, it delays the process or it crashed and I have to force the shutting down. In addition, the customer service phone line does not answer and the store where I purchased discarded any responsibility, saying the apple directly interfaces with clients. Any idea about my problem? what could be the causes? software or hardware issues?
I’m really disappointed with my macbook problems only after 20 days!!!!!
