The dread random shut down :-(

I purchased my MacBook Pro in April 2006, and started experiencing the shut down about 6 months later… for about a month, and then a blessed five month reprieve… now suddenly it begins again…! There is no explanation for this phenom. I still love my computer… and hope for a miracle!

The same issues happen with my mbp (2006, 2GHz CoreDuo)… 2 years without any problem but now it begans.
Fortunately the book is still covered via Apple Care, but what shall I do, if they can not fix it? Two months later the Apple Care runs out and then…?

Have you ever had the problem of aren’t able to reboot after shutdown? It happened twice to me and only some hits could motivate the book for working again. …??
