Im About To Buy A Macbook 15 Inch 500GB 2.8Ghz Computer. Was Wondering If These Isssues Will Occur On My Mac When I Get It…. My macbook is now unusable. It randomly turns it off and on. The password method didn’t help. I’ll try to give it to the service, but I think mainboard should be replaced. I don’t want to pay so much money for this bad product….

1st rev macbook? epic fail…

Fortunately it has been working for me after the password. I have also updated all the apple SW to the latest available.

It would be good idea to translate it… appreciate your help.

As an update on this problem I had is that with trial & error I managed to control the problem by setting the EFI Firmware password using the DVD boot disk. Technically I have no idea how can this happen; but it worked! That’s what matters to me most at this point…

One of the disadvantage of using EFI password is that it disables all the key sequences except Option key; but that’s still better than to have a book getting restarted repeatedly.
